Art as a means to spiritual inspiration and elevation.

With the backdrop of the Aegean Sea, in the heart of Naxos, sculptor Tom von Kaenel and his wife Priska, founded Kalodromo nine years ago , a small marble workshop………

“In my opinion design should not only make peoples lives more beautiful but also inspire them spiritually. An American ceramicist, Hans Coper, who I greatly admire, is a prime example of this. My sculptures develop on a similar basis. Art should elevate people and help solve the problems that arise from their relationship with themselves, the community, or their environment through questioning. Marble is a precious material in itself. I strive to make this value visible through my work”.
